In 2021, during the pandemic, I was ready to show my wife the country I left 15 years ago. I wanted to create the best possible mix of historic places, show her amazing castles and real palaces, but at the same time, I wanted to include other experiences such as thermal waters where people travel to relax and renew themselves.

It took me around six months to build a solid itinerary, with carefully chosen restaurants, delightful places to visit, and accommodations, including a real palace nestled in a sequoia forest where kings and princes would hunt and relax between battles.

After our first trip, she was so hooked, and there was still so much to discover, that we kept going back with new itineraries, new discoveries, and new stories, all intertwined with amazing food, wine and new friends.

If I can please her, I certainly have the ability to dazzle you with the traditional Portuguese hospitality. After all, everyone I meet in the US who has ever been to Portugal always starts with the phrase: "Ohhhh, the food..."
